Cheap Call for Windows Phone 7
CheapCall supports you in using a VOIP-Portal dial-in or calling card number. You no longer need to modify your contacts’ information. Just configure CheapCall and it will take care of any modification required to use one of these portals.
With CheapCall your start cheap call, select a contact and click dial without any modification to the numbers already stored in your phonebook.
Setup
If you have just installed Cheap Call on your device take 5 minutes time to setup the inital configuration. You don’t have to do it now, but the phone will remind you to do it before you do your first “cheaper” call.
VOIP-Settings
- Select the provider of your choice (currently only Betamax is available)
- Select the Country and if available city you are in
- If you cannot find a suiteable provider please drop me a mail. You can always use the “Custom” provider as a workaround. Just enter a location name (whatever you wish) and specify the dial-in number.
If required, adapt the dial-rule according to the information you’ve gotten from your provider
Application Settings
Use Direct Call if all your contacts should be shown as soon as the application starts. If you enabled this option, you can always use the back button to return to the main screen.
Normalize Number tries to automatically convert any local number (numbers without international prefix) to a valid international number used by most voip portals.
For a valid normalization you have so enter your country code and the international prefix (e.g. in Europe you would use 00 in Ameria you would either use 00 or 11)

Betamax provides a myriad of VOIP-portals. Those listed below are directly supported by CheapCall. You just have to enable “Local Access Number” or “To-go number” in your profile.
